Choices is an overpayment facility that lets you save money on your Buy to Let mortgage by reducing your balance and the interest you pay.
Any overpayments you make will build up a Choices ‘credit balance’ that can open up a number of flexible features in the future.
What are the flexible features?
Choices can help you ride out any future difficulties on meeting your mortgage commitments by:
1. Taking a payment holiday
2. Making underpayments on your mortgage
3. Offering a borrow back facility
These could give you the flexibility you need if you have rent arrears, or to pay for refurbishments that could help to rent your property.
Who is Choices suitable for?
To benefit you can't be in arrears and you should be able to afford to make regular overpayments.
Choices is currently not available if you have a Mortgage Express mortgage that was originally taken out with GMAC, Kensington or Close Brothers and was subsequently transferred to Mortgage Express. Choices is also not available on Bradford & Bingley mortgages taken out prior to 2005. Please look at your mortgage offer or contact us if you are unsure.
